Sioux City scored late in the 1st quarter, and the score would hold 7-0 until halftime. Fargo got on the board with 5:25 left in the 3rd quarter, followed by a 3 & out by the defense, and a quick TD to take the lead 14-7 with 1:41 left in the 3rd quarter. Sioux City responded with an 8-play drive capped on a 4th Down TD from the 11 yardline to knot it 14-14 with 13:33 to play. Fargo would go 3 & out, while the Stampede missed a FG. With 3:42 left in the game, Sioux City converted on a 43-yard Interception Return TD. In 8 plays, Fargo got to the 37 yardline, but another Stampede interception would seal the game.

Sioux City would again score first, late in the 1st quarter. The Invaders would take the lead in the 2nd quarter with a TD plus 2-pt conversion. A blocked Punt Safety would cap first half scoring with the Stampede leading 9-8. With 4 minutes left in the 3rd, Fargo would take the lead back 14-9. Sioux City scored 2 TD's early in the 4th quarter & held off the Invaders for the win.
