Warriors, Pioneers, Sabercats all undefeated

The official first week of the NEFL season, with all 6 teams in action.  The best game of the day was the 2019 NEFL Champion Fargo Invaders against the 2019 CAFL Champion Minneapolis Warriors, with the Pioneers & Sabercats heading to North Dakota for their matchups with the Titans & Wolves. 

Sabercats open the season with the long trek out to Bismarck, ND and pick up a decisive win over the Wolves.

After a slow start, the St Paul Pioneers started warming up in the 2nd quarter and turned it on in the 2nd half, pulling away from the MinnDak Titans.  DJ Skie & Cyrus Elliott both scored a pair of Touchdowns for the Pioneers, with Dennis Gudim throwing the strikes.  Travis Griffin turned on the jets for a long rushing touchdown.

Minneapolis capitalized on 4 first half Turnovers, as well as hitting 6 plays over 20 yards to roll to a huge halftime lead.  Those six plays accounted for 201 yds of 340 for the Warriors offense.  Former Invader, Ja'Vonte Johnson threw for 306 yds & 4 TD's, Jamus Neal III took over for Fargo in the 2nd half to throw for 178 & 2 TD's.  Jon Baune (Fargo) led the game with 10 catches for 148 yds and a score, with Nathan Chromy & Mustaful Strong combining for 12 catches, 205 yds & 3 TD's for the Warriors.
