Bulldogs come out of the gate slow and stall out on their first 3 drives in the red zone. Defense steps up and held Rise scoreless until the Bulldogs offense started to find their rhythm in the run game. Exploiting a 3 man defensive front, Bulldogs RB group got the score started early 2nd qtr. Special teams and offense added tallies and they enjoyed a 20-0 lead until midway through the 4th qtr. Rise started to find sparks late, with defense creating stops and their special teams scoring. With a 20-12 lead and under a minute left, Bulldogs elect to run out of the endzone and take the safety. The Rise almost struck on the ensuing kick, forcing the Kicker Trey Bettincourt into a shoe string tackle inside his own 20. With 24 seconds on the clock, Bulldogs defense was called on again to seal the game. Holding the Rise to a 4 and out, QB Barron Bradshaw was able to move his offensive until into victory formation and kneel out the clock to send his organization to 2-0. Bulldogs are idle for a month, their next opponent is the St Paul Pioneers in St Paul June 4th.
