Fargo Invaders are on a 2-game Win Streak after a pair of home wins over the Rise & Titans.
The Invaders are a young team in 2022, led at QB by 19-yr old Rookie Kasen Swenson. A tough welcome to the NEFL, Swenson started the first two games with 1 TD to 7 Int in two losses to the St Paul Pioneers & Minnesota Rise. After a few weeks between games, Kasen has rebounded against the Rise & Titans, throwing for 3 TD's and 0 Int.
Tim Devaney has upped his performance as well, from 39 yds/0 TD in the first two games to now 101 yds & 2 TD's.
Rod Stewart has been consistent catching the ball for the Invaders with 3 TD's & 219 yds on the season. And Constant Jackson adding 127 yds & a TD.
Invaders Offensive Line has been thin, but has seen good play from the 8-9 players rotating.
Fargo's Defense has been paced by All-Star Derek Alexander (23), Lonell Powers (22), & rookie Nic Sapa (18), all with 18+ tackles. Cornelius Wahlo (3) & Dominic Goseyun (1.5) lead the Invaders in Sacks, while Dallas Hayes (3) & Josh Gatlin (2) lead in interceptions.
After losing their last game, against the Rise just weeks earlier, Fargo bounced back at home scoring early. Swenson found Stewart & Jackson for TD's, before Devaney tacked on a 4th quarter score.
The Invaders defense was on-point against the Titans, holding MinnDak to 109 yards and forcing 3 interceptions; 2 by Hayes, while Wahlo added 3 sacks.
Offensively Wahlo scored from 1-yard out along with another Devaney TD & Stewart TD.
Fargo (2-2) travels to Kansas City (3-3), in a huge matchup for playoff seeding.
