3 Shutouts & 2 Undefeated Teams Battle

Week 4 had another battle of undefeated teams, as the Fox Valley Force traveled to St Paul.  The Sioux City Stampede also took their undefeated win steak to the twin cities.

By the end of the week two undefeated teams remain and five teams are hot on their heels with only 1-loss.  The 2018 round-robin schedule is sure to bring more excitement as the season moves on.

In a re-match of last years NEFL East Division Championship, the Rough Riders again traveled to River Falls, WI - home of the Bulls.  River City, like last years' playoff game, scored 19 points but again that wasn't enough to topple the Bulls as Northland scored 27.  The Bulls got out to a 21-6 halftime lead which proved to be enough against the Rough Rider 2nd half surge.

In a battle of undefeated teams, Fox Valley traveled across Wisconsin into St Paul in game that resembled NEFL Championships of earlier years.  Similar to those Championship games, the Pioneers came out on top.  The 1st half was a tight 10-6 contest before St Paul was able to open up a 29-6 lead late into the 4th quarter.  Fox Valley added a late touchdown.

Med City, coming off a 41-0 win over the Vipers, made the 6-hour trek to Fargo, ND looking to carry-over that momentum.  The Invaders forced a turnover on the first drive of the game, which led to a touchdown on the next play.  Fargo would pour it on in the 2nd quarter, adding 4 TD's for a 35-0 halftime lead.  The second half was a back-and-forth defensive battle, as neither team was able to score.

Sioux City made their first trip to the Twin Cities of the year, their first stop in Cottage Grove against the Minnesota Vipers.  The Stampede were able to extend their win streak to 14 games, running all over the Minnesota Vipers with a 25-point first quarter & 46-point half.  Sioux City would cruise to 59-point win.

Granite City traveled to Hudson, WI in their 3rd road trip of the season.  The Thunderhawks were able to put together two 1st quarter passing touchdowns for the early lead.  The score would remain the same into the 4th quarter, when Hudson was able to tack on a couple more scores for good measure.
